General:
You must provide your medical examiner with the following information:
• Date onset of Thoracic Aneurysm.
• Name and location of treating health care professional.
• What interventions have been done, surgical repair?
• Medications you are taking.
• Treatment plan / frequency of testing
• Last dose of Anticagulant (If taking)
• Last INR: if on Warfarin (Coumadin)
• Use of Oxygen
• Side effects of medication.
• Report:
Any history of chest pain, upper back pain, shortness of breath, swelling of ankles, dizziness or fatigue.
Certification following Thoracic Aneurysm Diagnosis
1. Aneurysm ≤3.5cm - requires vascular clearance.
2. Aneurysm >3.5cm – Disqualify
Must tolerate medicine without side effects.
CERTIFY FOR: Maximum of 1 year
Certification following Thoracic Aneurysm Repair
1. 3 month waiting period.
2. Vascular surgery clearance.
Must tolerate medicine without side effects.
CERTIFY FOR: Maximum of 1 year
