Physical Therapy

Stacy Medical Center is proud to provide comprehensive physical therapy services to our patients who have sustained work related injuries or illnesses. We also provide physical therapy services to our post-operative patients and patients under orthopedic care. Physical therapy is used as an adjunct treatment to accelerate tissue healing, strengthen muscles, increase flexibility, increase endurance, improve coordination and ultimately reduce pain. An aggressive physical therapy program will help to expedite our patient’s recovery and improve their chance of a successful return to their pre-injury work status / usual and customary health. Patients are educated as to proper bio mechanics/ergonomics in order to reduce their risk or re-injury following their return to work. Our physical therapy team consists of a Registered Physical Therapist (RPT), Chiropractor and massage technicians overseen by physician experienced in pain management and physical medicine. We are pleased to say that we have a combined experience over 75 years in occupational medicine.

The initial visit to therapy will consist of an evaluation by a physician, chiropractor or registered physical therapist. Based upon the findings of the evaluation and a thorough review of the medical chart, a treatment plan will be formulated and goals will be established to address each patient’s specific needs. A typical course of treatment may include:

  • Massage
  • Contrast Therapy
  • Ultrasound
  • H-wave
  • Balance work
  • Therapeutic Exercise
  • Stretching
  • Joint mobilization
  • Cold Laser

Our therapy department is open:
